Temperature & anemone
Hi friends ,
I have a quarantine tank without chiller. It’s established about 2 years, the temperature is around 30C. Can it keeps the bubble tip anemone? Thanks so much |

That actually exceeded the 76 to 78°F ideal temperature range for the anemone, but I feel like it will work.

I would think 24 to 26°C is the temperature you normally find on tropical reefs (at least that's how it used to be) if you go beyond the immediate surface layer.
In the tidal zone you may find greater extremes to both sides depending on the time and the tides, but those extremes occur only for relatively short periods. To my knowledge, BTAs are not extreme shallow water anemones like gigantea and also haddoni, but are mostly found on reef edges and tops in a little deeper water. So I would think that they rather like more stable conditions and don't handle extremes too well. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
