Not arrogant know it alls. that think there way is the only way.
I come here to try help people not to add too much trash in their tanks and feed wisely.
Also, to say that if you have T5s, instead those expensive LEDs, your life will be much, much easier in regards to light. That's IMO.

But that is only my point of view!!
Do I respect others? Yep. Did I try LEDs to say that? Yep, so...

I just think everyone has their own way to deal with their tanks and the right to suggest what they want. Yep, 1000s of ways to skin the cat!!! I agree 100%!
I say things here to let people know what would be the best way, IMO.

I don't care about arguments trying to proof anything. That's what I don't care!
What I post is to try to help others. I do care about that.

Grandis.
It's all in the presentation. Making suggestions or stating your opinion and being condescending and arrogant are 2 different things.

But again that's just my opinion.

If you read the original post I quoted of your. It's riddles with arrogance condescension. Not needed in a place like this.

But again this is just my opinion.

Thanks for reading. Now I will refrain from responding further as I fear this is derailing the nature of the post.

The truth is that I really have no more patience for forums anymore!
Sorry!

I see lots of things I don't agree and people really think those things are right.
The talk in the hobby came to a point that is just unacceptable to me.
Only if you don't know better you keep up with this weird plastic way to "reef".
They see shelves with plugs in tiny tanks as a normal thing.
people buy one polyp in a white plug and that is the norm!?!
They just chopped a colony and superglued that one polyp on that plug to make easy money on you. Can't you see that!!!!
The newbies aren't wrong nor the problem, but the new ideas and the money makers of the hobby are simply destroying what once was a beautiful way of education and enjoyment.
The newbies are victims! They fall in the trap and follow the current.
People need to wake up!!!
Accept that Florida's runoff sewage could possibly be an example? C'mon, please!
The T5/LEDs differences are debatable, but that also has been done and still depends on taste and preferences, I understand...

Well, one thing is right: if I come here to try help people this way it is better not to come.
I guess one could search and find most of the answers to the normal questions asked anyway.

I really think I don't belong to forums anymore.
Have a great time and sorry for ruined this thread!

Aloha!
Grandis.

The bayer dip how long do you leave the zoa colony in the bayer liquid and when they finish their dip do you wash it off before putting it in the tank? So how can I get these nitrates without fish? I know about the reef roids I won't target feed because that becomes time consuming, especially with a garden. So you feed them everyday. How much reef roids do you put everyday? I use phytofeast as my source of plankton. Its really concentrated stuff. How many caps do you recommend I put in? The tank I wanna use for the garden is a rectangular prism. How many times a week should I dose alkalinity? I use reef fusion 1 and 2. So how many caps per day? How frequently do you do water changes and how many gallons should I replace with the water change for a 20 gallon? How do I get the nitrates high with no fish? I know how to get the phosphates high... Easy, reef roids! Dude, and lastly THANK YOU for this guide. I wanna start the garden to see if this can be a means of income. Does the same thing apply with palys?
1. Bayer Dip

- I Leave the Zoanthids in the Bayer Dip for 15 Minutes.

- Then I Rinse it before putting it back in the tank.

- You do not want to get the Bayer in the Tank.

2. To Get Nitrates without fish use Coral Food like Reef Roids.

- I Do the Recommended Amount - 1/4 Teaspoon for Every 25 Gallons.

- I try to feed them three times a week.

- I don't feed every day.

3. Alkalinity

- It Depends as every Tank is Different. I have One Tank that I have not Dosed in 3 Months. I have another Tank that I Dose 2 to 4 Times a day.

Always Test Before you Dose.

Never Dump Stuff in without Testing.

4. Water Changes

- I Used to Do Water Changes Every Week but Now I Try to Do them Every 3 Weeks.

For Sure

They Like More Light than Most People Think.

Everyone has they preferred level of dirty in they water...
What would be "dirty" in the water?
Why would you think that?
Who invented that?

Also I can't understand those dark blue tanks...
Is that the light you guys have all day long?
Is that LEDs? Or T5s?
I'm getting older. LOL!!!!

Cheers!
Grandis.
Your Welcome

Dirty Water is Elevated Nitrates and Phosphates.

I have no clue who invented but the term has been around and used alot for as long as I have been in the Hobby.

My Pics are Taken Under LED.

Half My Tanks are LED
Half are T5HO

It Depends on the Type of Zoanthid.

Some Grow Super Fast

Others Do Not Grow at All

Nothing of importance. Just trying to advocate for unbiased suggestions instead of condescension and arrogance.

As a beginner it is unbiased constructive criticism and advice we come to these forums for.

I see it all to often in these forums people just saying things to say them with no actual suggestions or solutions just saying it to say it. It really frustrates me as a beginner reading through forums trying to learn and you always get that 1 person who has no real value to contribute just a bunch of arrogance and condescension because that how they did it 10yrs ago. And can't accept their may be new or different ways of doing the same thing now.

I did love the write up though how are the Zoas doing? Any update pics?

Sorry for the rant.
