Can I use this media for a fish only tank?
Hi,

It looks to be a fairly porous ceramic material. It should be cable of providing a large amount of surface area like any other similar material.
Should be fine for a fish only tank..

Yes, it is simply a medium to increase surface. As to some of the things the website says specifically:
Large surface area to allow for large bacterial colonization - your bacterial colonization will only be as large as your bioload requires, not on how much surface area you provide. Emits FAR - not sure this is a benefit or not, maybe someone else could comment on Far infrared radiation and the benefits in saltwater...
