Which of your salts would you recommend for growing macro algae (caulerpa, gracilaria, etc)?

So someone mentioned dosing the pro bios, np pro and f on alternating days but the manual says daily? What is the call? Thanks

The probiotic system and dosing is explained in the pdf file. Most will run the probiotic system based on Probiotic salt, Pro Bio S and NP Pro. Pro Bio F can be used alternately for NP Pro, but not necessary to run the probiotic based system. It is really designed for small tanks as an AIO bacteria and carbon source. I am currently experimenting on a 16gallon AIO Nuvo. I am using right now 2 spoons per week. Cheers!

You can still use the Pro Bio F a couple times per week in place of NP Pro if you want. You will want to use Pro Bio S and NP Pro together. Bio S is not the same. Cheers!

Hi Aquaforest
I saw a beautiful skimmerless reef in YouTube, based on AF products. Can you write additional info about "How to use AF in skimmerless system guide"

Thanks in advance!

What are the stock parameters?
calcium magnesium and alkalinity?

stock parameters= parameters of water recently mixed.

Numbers vary from batch to batch, but the intention is to mix as close to NSW values as possible

This is a great read. Question about the probiotic, it says not to reduce the nitrates to zero. My nitrates have always been at zero is this bad if I am using the probiotic salt?

No,
But you can feed the fish more and use coral foods generously with low to zero nitrates

When starting a new tank, using new siporax, what source of ammonia does AF requests in order for bio s to become effective and stimulate the nitrogen cycle?

Assuming a very light fish load, would the AAs and vitamins contained in the prebiotic reef salt be enough for coral needs, replenished through the weekly water changes or down the road additional quantity may be required according to coral growth and nutrient levels?

For start is good to add some food (sometimes is good to add died shrimp) - even to empy tank to give medium for nitryfying bacteria.

Yes - we recommend to dose everything for corals needs and corals consumption.
Please, show your tank - we can cooperate step by step what to do.

You can use Bio S for 2 week and then Pro Bio S and NP Pro. Together these should replace Zeobak.

I accidently bought a bottle of bio s instead of pro bio s. I read bio s is only for starting a cycle on a tank but have seen that people use both bacterias in their tanks. Did I waste my money or can I use the bio s? Will it help anything? Hurt anything? I am confused on why it would be for only starting up an aquarium, is it a specific strain of bacteria that acts differently?
I have a system with a few tanks with all kinds of corals, almost no readable nutrients, heavy nutrient import and export, lots of fish and vodka and vinegar carbon sourced. How much should I use if it will benefit anything? I opened it right before I read the label...

You can use Bio S if you want to but this is nitrifying bacteria, not probiotic.
You can dose Bio S also daily or after water changes.
If you want to reduce nitrate and phosphate we recommend to use Pro Bio S.

I have 2 years old mostly lps and some montiporas 66 gal DT with 20Gal sump. I also have a big hair algae problem for 6 months. I m now using biopellet for 3 months to reduce my nitrate 25ppm and phosphate 0.1. But for 3 months no change in values. I want to try aquaforest products which is available in my country.

I decided to give a go to;
Pro Bio S
NP pro

Do I have to use bio s and pro bio f with these? or do you recommend me to use any other?

Are you using AF Reef salt or AF Probiotic salt?
