What is this?
Hi everyone. Does anyone know what this? The little “bumps” on the rock.
I can’t seem to find anything on what they could be and at one point they came out as these sort of “flowers”. want to make sure they aren’t dangerous. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I second GSP. It does not look healthy, which leads me to ask... what’s going on in this Reef that would kill gsp?

Thanks for replies everyone. It is live rock that I just got. Looked up GSP and this is definitely what they were when they came “out” while I had the rock in a holding tank filled with water from previous aquarium. This is a new aquarium. The person who I bought it off of had a healthy tank as far as I am aware (Good water parameters, well maintained). I drop acclimated them to my water knowing there was something on them. I am still early on in the cycle and know not everything on the rocks will make it through. Just starting to see ammonia spike, could be related? Sorry to add to this, but anyone know about this? Almost looks like a sea star stuck the rock in some sort of web?

The star and gsp, not bad but not desired. Gsp low end coral that spreads and the stars can be considered pests.
