Worked on the mixing station this weekend.

The white drum over the washing machine will hold rejected water from the RO/DI unit. I don't like to waste too much water so the white drum will be connected to the cold water intake on the washing machine. I hope it will work and there isn't a specific amount of pressure the washing machine needs to operate with.

idk yet... needed 10ft of ro tubing to get to it... as of right now its on order and I will let you know this week.

It works. I wouldn't give it a 5 star rating though. I think it takes the washer longer to go through a normal cycle because the pressure doesn't fill the wash drum as fast. Clothing appears and feels clean as normal.

Idk if you can see it but oak trim was added to the bottom of the top cabinets because I couldn't frame the whole thing in granite... forgot to grab the trim board for the left side of the tank... It got left at the shop.

Finally finished nailing in the wainscot, skirt board, and chair rail! I don't want to go up steps with that stuff ever again. It took 2 people probably 10 hours to template and cut them somewhat acuratly... Now hopefully I can get back to fish stuff.

Built a step behind the tank. I am only 5 11... going to make it look nice tomorrow. The step makes life so much easier... I don't know why it took me this long to do this.

Made it pretty er...

Don't worry if it looks like it's a different height from left to right. The floor slopes a whole inch and since the tank is shimmed up about an inch I built the step to match.

Horse stall mat... really durable and has many applications in the aquarium hobby. Used it under the sump and pumps. Its a good for insulation and vibration.

I did my overflow in the same fashion. I hate HOB syphon overflows.
I used just a strainer for my main syphon instead of a U bend.
How is yours working for you?

Well to be perfectly honest I think the size pipes I chose could have been smaller. I have to choke the main siphon way down because 1.25 inch plumbing can handle a lot of water at full siphon. That was an extra expense for the larger spears gate valve and larger diameter plumbing parts and it could have been avoided. Another thing I could have done better was to have used black silicone to mount it to the tank. I will be putting car window tint on the back side of the tank and I will be able to see the outline of the external overflow box because I can't get tinting under the silicone now.
