How does something like this with a super rare fish work? Does it have to go directly to you, a wholesaler, or an LFS in order to obtain it?

Buying fish like these or even common fish direct from a diver or collector usually just entails a trip to the airport to pick them up. At the airport you go to their "cargo" facility to get them. Kind of a weird place as a lot of the stuff you see in there are either living animals being shipped like dogs, cats, birds, fish etc. or you see coffins. It is always exciting to pick-up fish but tbh, I don't look around too much around as it can be very depressing. With stuff from B, I am lucky as his guy does the airport pick-up and I meet him at a fish store to get the fish. I am seeing him around 2 pm this Friday. Hopefully the traffic wont be too nightmarish and I should have her in a tank by 3:30 Friday afternoon. She ships from Manila tomorrow. Will post some pics hopefully Friday. Hope yours are all well, TK Last edited by humaguy; 05/23/2018 at 06:58 PM. |

Fantastic Ted - congratulations!
I've seen 8 at Dejong one year ago but they was all full raised adults. A tiny one never seen! Hope for tank breed soon! A few years ago I thought kingi is ugly - but now I love kingi. Would like to own a pair! I am not interested for the smallest one like you. I just want pairs of every fish I own. That is sometimes very difficult. My male of my spawning pair interrupta dies a few week ago and I don't know why. Think my quarantine attempt with to high copper could be the key. That make me crazy. I think this will be my live challenge to get what I want. I hope that not the way is my aim... Greetings Torben Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk |

Sorry about the interrupta, def go very slowly with C angels and copper. I cant wait to seeyour pair! I felt the same way about Kingi and many years ago also about Bandits and Griffiths. Bandits are now among my fav fish and, lol, I still am not a convert of Griffiths, they are "eh" in my book. |
