Distilled water?
Hi.i use salifert test kits .which consist of a bottle of liquid ( which always runs out 1st) that is added to aquarium water and a testing solution, the magnesium and kH test kit requires you to keep adding drop by drop until a colour change is detected.this liquid is always the 1st to run out before the test solution liquid does. So ,now to my question.is this liquid just distilled water?.can I continue using my test kits using rodi water as the final testing agent? Ty .

The first liquid is not RO/Di. I think it's binding magnesium, and changing the pH, but I keep forgetting the details of the various test methods.

That's definitely not RO/DI water. This thread has some information:

I’m going to have to agree that it’s deinfitely not water. If it was then they would tell you to use water instead because it costs them more to bottle and ship that second bottle than if they just needed water, especially because they could probably sell the test at the same price still.

Can't argue with that.
