How is it going with the becketts? I had a skimmer with a beckett and I hated it. Perhaps it was just a crappy skimmer. Have you got it running yet? It looked like it from one of the pictures but don't know if you were just testing for leaks ..

Love this thread.

What all do you currently have in your tank that will be making the crossover to this one?

Thanks Grouper...salthead and fellow deadhead...
I have trigs and angels and a sohal....crosshatch pair will be the biggest....really want to try adding my 2 queens...garibladi, hawaiian flame, false townsends...lunula, golden heart...
some of my pita fish will stay in 250...like the clown....maybe the titan, my pinktail is a huge pita, surprisingly so, as well as a small halfmoon trig, sufflamen chrysopterum, that i raised from a tiny .75 of an inch-maybe, is the biggest sob i have ever had...puts undys to shame...he may live in my fuge or he is gone...lol, just a really really nasty trigger...

Right on.

I think I'm about as excited as you to see this bad boy up and running with some killer stock in it. Going to look so sweet.

get a humidifier for the room!! I have a 500 glln with MH on it and I can loose up to 5 gglns a day in the summer.Which makes it a bit uncomfterable in that particular room cause of the high humidity. Also if you havent already I suggest using High Gloss paint on your walls this will prevent it from bubbling or chipping specially around your tank. Thats what I came across over time. I hope this helps and by the way awesome tank. Those were the same dimensions I was looking for before I set up my tank. But OCEANIC gave me a great deal on my 500 glln cause of a non paying customer that had ordered it and obviously didnt pay for it. but good luck on your build! Oh by the way I have mine sitting on hardwood floor and I havent had any issues. FYI!
