Controlling Jebao Crossflow pumps

I have a cp40 and want to get another. I'd like to run a similar pattern that I had with rw8's and the jbwave controller. I read a post that said that the JBwave is not compatible with the Crossflow pumps. It looks like the only available option now is to purchase 2 of their Aqualink controllers.

This is the program I'd like to run:
Pump 1 on / Pump 2 off
Pump 2 on / Pump 1 off
Pump 1 and Pump 2 on
Pump 1 and Pump 2 off

thanks,
Albert

LOL, yes, can I run that program with two Aqualinks?

Bent: I do not think the JBwave is compatible with the crossflows. I wish they were because I have one.

Eric from Fishstreet replied to my inquiry and says that "I need to set the timer on it".
I don't know what that means.

So far so good. I have it in a 40 breeder. It's connected to a reefkeeper wavemaker alternating with a Jebao rw8 on the other side. The Crossflow replaced another rw8 I had. Placement of the rw8 was getting difficult due to corals getting blasted. If I pointed the rw8 up it would splash on my t5 lighting. The Crossflow doesn't do this due to the output being in a wider area. I may end up getting another for the other side.

That is the program that I used to run with the two Jebao rw-8's on a JBWave controller.

I think that’s the ramp program isn’t it?

I use two RW-15s on these settings

Full random
Min 0%
Max 50%
Time 5 seconds
Ramp 0

Mine are at the top corner of each side pointing towards the front glass.

It's actually a custom program that the JBWave has. You can assign 4 different parts to the program.

So in detail the custom program I created was:
Pump 1 on (100%) / Pump 2 off = 30 seconds
Pump 2 on (100%) / Pump 1 off = 30 seconds
Pump 1 and 2 on (80%) = 30 seconds
Pump 1 and 2 off = 5 seconds

Well, it's been a while since I last posted to this thread. Still trying to figure out if the Aqualinks will run the above program.

Update on the Crossflow cp-40. Some months back I cleaned it but could never put it back together without constant stalling. I put one of the old rw8's to replace it as well as a new cp-25 on the other side of the tank.
I'm thinking of getting another cp-25 to replace the rw8's. Reason is that the more direct flow of the rw-8 is in the path of a few corals. Alot of the corals have grown fairly high in the tank and really the only type of powerhead that would work would be a Crossflow type of pump.

Anyone running the Aqualinks with the Crossflows?
thanks,
Albert

Another update on these pumps. I've read over and over regarding giving reviews on a piece of equipment too early. I agree. At the end of the day, I would not recommend these pumps. Mainly do to the pita factor in cleaning them. Also, once putting them together, the pumps may or may not work the same as before. Or there may be a new noise that shows up. I don't know if the other type of Gyre pumps have the same problem but I'm sticking to old style pumps. I am now back to 2 rw-8's.
