I'll likely add a power strip in the future but for th short term, ok to split the last plug into two?
yes you can!

Thank you. I'm going to order a second powerbar so I have enough outlets for the second fan and a few more for some float valves that I want to add.

A float valve doesn't need any outlets to operate. If you're referring to a float switch, those can be hooked up to a break out box.

Mike- not a float valve. I misspoke. Float switches. To turn skimmer pumps off if sump level gets too high.

Yeah, so if you have a break out box already which I assume you do. You just wire those float switches up to the break out box and program it to turn off the outlet your skimmer is plugged into.

Just finished reading your thread. Thanks for sharing. I know I have a much smaller area that heats up easier (90 gal DSA) but I just hooked up an Artica DBM-250 as I'm also local here and temps were rising to 82. The thing is amazing. Cools the water down back to 78 from 79 in less than 5 minutes. I know your trying to avoid the chiller but seeing as how I just installed mine I wanted to share. Super easy to install and works like a champ. The peace of mind is great too. Regardless, thanks again for sharing your process. It was a joy to read.

Appreciate it. My only issue is that I would need a massive chiller. The evaporative fans seem to be doing the job just fine. I survived last summer and Im sure will survive this summer as well. Thank you again for taking the time to read my journey. Ive learned so much!

I have two small fans if anyone wants them that connect to your tank to cool. Im no longer using them. Free to a good home. Just have to come by and pick them up.

Here is a link to what I have. Its the largest size- two of them.

I would gladly pay shipping and packaging for them. Just drop them off at ups and I'll pick up the charges!

One single small fan strategically placed hooked up to Apex in my sump room has worked wonders. its 106 today in Scottsdale and last summer temp in the tank was going up. With the fan in place, tank is sitting at a nice 81 degrees and stable. Might not even need to hook up the second one. Will track the temps and see.

Appreciate any insights.

What temp do you run your AC at? Im setting up a 190 right now in Queen Creek and we run our AC at 78-79, but Im worried I might have to bump that down substantially to avoid a chiller.

Added a massive dogface puffer, powder blue tang and heniocius butterfly.

Took the wrap off the roof of the Ferrari. Ordered some touch up paint to fix a few areas of road rash. Got an offer from my neighbor to buy my SLS.

House- nothing new here- our spec home is almost complete. Hoping to sell it in next few months.

Tried to upload a video but Tapatalk won't let me.
