thinking about coming back

well its been some years since I have had my peacock mantis, thinking of setting up a tank again and trying to catch a local mantis since im right on the coast of NC right above Wilmington NC. can anyone give me some advise on safe way to try to catch my own mantis safely with out doing and damage or hurting it? I also have a bud that shrimps and says he gets them all the time and just throws them back, if I cant get him to get one figured I would try my hand at it myself thanks for any tips and help
