I have 2 and love it. 1 seemed sufficient. 2 adds MUCH more motion to the tank. Running them in anti sync right now. The afternoons get quite rough in my reef....better glue those frags down!

Nice pair of naked clowns.
There's a thread on nano-reef.com about the micro bubbles you are experiencing with your Ghost skimmer. Has something to do with the gasket. check it out http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/34111...0-build/page-3 Hope it helps!

It's been short, but sweet.....I found a great deal on Craigslist for the Fusion's big brother....the SR-80. It's been nice seeing everyone's tank progress and sharing our experiences. Hope you guys enjoy and continue adding to this thread. I'll still be following along. I'll be making another thread for SR-80 owners, so follow along!

Sorry, been off on vacation for a bit. Got the sump going late last week. Light seems pretty bright. Lights up the living room ceiling all night. I'll see how well the cheato grows in a week or so. Guess i have to get to work on a canopy now! Other than that, status quo here.
Some nice additions above! Also..what a find on the 80 on CL. I was looking at that prior to the 40. Just not enough room....

I've had my IM 40 for a couple months now and just noticed an issue. Under the baffles in the back in the corners detritus is collecting pretty bad. I really don't have enough room in the center baffle area to get my arm down there with a hose to siphon it out. Is anyone else seeing this and if so how are you handling it? Tbh it seems like a design flaw.

someone in another thread suggested adding a small powerhead down there so detritus won't settle in the corners. Haven't tried it myself in my SR-80, but it sounds like a great idea.

Contact IM? I read about some pump issue early on. Maybe you got one?

Good luck!
I like it. It's a bit finicky with flow rates but once you get it dialed in, it's pretty reliable. My biggest complaint is the media not the reactor. Using brs gfo and it tends to clog or compact after a week or so, and I just boost the flow a little to get it tumbling again. No biggie. It's such a simple design and fits well. Can't imagine finding another internal one that does the job better.
