36/30/18 AA with ReefSavvy overflow
It’s been about 2-3 years since I had a tank. Didn’t really miss it, but my kids kept bringing up Dory, and I started to consider another tank. After we moved to our new place, I realized it had the perfect spot for a new tank. So......here we are.
-36/30/18 Advanced Acrylics tank with ReefSavvy overflow - craigslist sump. Very basic: just two chambers -MP40QD -ReefOctopus VarioS-2 return pump -Vertex 150i skimmer -Tunze Osmolator 3155 with Lowe’s Bucket ATP Reservoir -InkBird dual heater/cooler temperature controller -TrippLite individually controlled outlet -Puratek 100GPD RODI -Vertex Illumina 36” LED with auxiliary pads (backup light) Awaiting delivery: GHL Mitra LX7206 (will eventually order a second...just letting my wallet absorb from the shock) Current livestock: pair of clownfish. Will I add dory? I’m not sure. We plan to be in this home for 2-3 years before buying a bigger place, at which point I will definitely upgrade to a 300G tank. Livestock plans: longnose hawkfish. Some wrasses. Maybe some cardinal fish. Corals: mixed, and by that I mean the “easier” SPS such a monti or maybe birds nest. I plan on wavy corals (BTA, torches, frogspawn) and zoos, acans and some softies. I want to keep my system as simple as possible, so I don’t want to add a doser unless it’s absolutely and unequivocally necessary. Had an unplanned day off yesterday, so I did a couple things:
1. Hung up the Marine Depot and moved all my controllers and Apex Jr to it 2. Hung up my GHL Mitra. Still need to program it though. 3. Refilled the ATO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
