Small Sump Using 3/16" Acrylic?

I have very little space to work with and I need a custom sump. I recently came across fully glued acrylic display cases that are 10"x10"x15". These dimensions work perfectly for my application; however, the acrylic used to make them is only 3/16".

I'm a little iffy about using acrylic that is this thin. Any opinions?

Long story short......NO! A display case or POP case will be extruded to start with which you do NOT want for a pressure vessel. Add to that it's thinness and you are asking for trouble.

I am with Crazy.
Dont do it!! It could be fine for a few hours or a few weeks or..........NOT

If you were to build one for your custom appl. I would use nothing less than 1/4''

From my understanding it has become very inconstant in the manufacturing.
