What is this algae
I have never had this in any of my tanks over the years . Can anyone tell me what it is and what eats it .

Not sure at all, but it kind of looks like the beginnings of cotton candy algae. If it is, snails should eat it. Mine did.

It’s not cotton candy it looks more like Caulacanthus ustulatus
