something everyone should do before they add a tank is tile the floor if they have carpet. before the tank came in i had the carpet pulled up and tiled. then the tank and stand arrived. I hung the light and placed the stand in place before the tank was put on the stand

sump in place

next was the big tank move. due to the tank having such thick glass and the tile backround it was fairly heavy and took quite a few people to get it in.

my nephew (purebullet417 on here) designed and build my waterchange/top off station for me. basicly it uses a tunze auto top off to turn an outlet on and off turning my ato pump to pump water over the celing and into the tank. it also has a small panworld pump hooked up to mix saltwater the tunze auto top off has been wired to a relay allowing the low voltage tunze to opperate normal wattage outlet. some pictures. purebullet417 can explaine it better if you need him to.

Great job! That tile back ground is very cool, you don't see that everyday.

Where did you purchase your closed loop returns and intake covers?

Thanks.

HI LL
Intake strainers are from us plastics and all the other parts of the closed loops from ocean motions. The black pvc pipe was from savko.

Hi just wanted to tell every one I saw the tile background in Atlanta MACNA show. Reef Aquaria design who designed the tank had designed tanks with the tile attached to the rear glass. I painted the back of my 2 other tanks black so I thought this would be a unique thing to do. The tank does look real impressive with the back tiled and once coraline algae forms it will look really good.

Wow this looks beautiful so far. I'm subscribing to see where this goes! definitely going for the unique look with the tile background, but I really like it! Interesting that nobody has thought to do that before... Can't wait to see where it goes with that giant calcium reactor and fancy skimmer

Looking great.
And to think I was feeling unsecure because of a 3/4 inch hole in the bottom of my tank for draining it or attaching a mechanical filter.
Love your aquascape looks like you won't be having any problems with coral positioning.
