Here's one for you. No adjustments made - it's about a month and a half difference between these 2 shots.

Damn that is better then my success LOL. Great growth! What lighting by the way? Have you went to far with dosing, meaning more algae on the glass etc.?

Thanks -

I ended up over dosing it a little by like 1 ml per day (was at 5, now I'm at 4 ml per day). Not that I really think it makes that much of a difference.

The algae on the glass came about a week after I started, then I think there was an equilibrium or something because the algae kind of subsided. I clean my glass maybe twice a week.

Lighting (90 gallon standard tank) is from (2) full spectrum Reef Radiance DM-155e's with 90º optics all around. Lighting is at about 55% blue, 20% full spectrum.

All that said though, I feed a disgusting amount to the point where most folks don't believe me when I tell them. Pellets, frozen, flake, nori, oyster eggs, etc. I also run a good size skimmer (Octo Classic SSS-150) which I really like and I have a very healthy growing fuge on a reverse photoperiod.

I also do nit use RO / Di water - I only use a dual carbon filter from the faucet in the laundry room.

I also have ZERO cyano or hair algae.

Waterchanges are very minimal (2 I think since the tank's been set-up since Feb) and I only dose kalk with my ATO. Just last Friday, I started dosing Mg at 10ml / day to see where it will take me.

Yeah it is. I've seen it before in the past brown stuff out pretty good so it's easy to overdo it. Just got to find the right balance which IMO takes a bottle of the stuff to figure out where that sweet spot is.

Coralline - I hate the stuff myself but as long as it stays on the rocks, I'm fine with it. I hate it when it starts growing on the glass.

Do you dose carbon at all? I'm thinking about it with dosing this stuff. I'm assuming you skimmer is pulling out some serious nasty stuff like i am running this stuff. LOL I now believe if the skimmer is pulling out stuff the tank is feed well

Since i don't use GAF or any other p04 removal stuff, I believe my only removal of waste would be water change. Hopefully I can fine tune.

No, I don't carbon dose (I used to a loooong time ago with different systems) and I also don't use GFO or GAC on my system either. No reactors, no passive filtration.

I've actually added sponges in my sump to keep salt creep down and right before the return baffle. I never clean them, I just squish them every once in a while to let some junk out into the water column.

My system is treated WAY different than the "typical" system people strive to keep, and I think it actually helps. I don't chase the issues most people do with their "typical" set-ups.

I stopped RS's Reef Energy A&B and started Seachem Fuel.
Hope to get good results like many here

What about if I'm also feeding oyster feast? Is that like po4 overload for a bb frag tank?

Not sure - I use it too in my feeding schedules. Just remember a little goes a long way.

That would make sense, but I think twice a week for me dosing fuel at 5ml is that sweet spot. My candycanes colonies have exploded doing this! Torch has been looking much better!

Stuff sounds good. Are you turning your skimmers off immediately after dosing? If so for how long. On the days not dosing aquavitro are you dosing/feedings anything else? Thanks.

My skimmer stays on 24/7. I dose everyday, although I have been known know to skip a day on occasion.

So I got in some fuel. Have been dosing my 1 year old heavily stocked 20 G mixed reef. Am dosing in 4 ml right in front of my mp20 about 10 minutes before lights out. I turned my skimmer off for about 1 hour after dosing, return pump left on. Does 4 ml seem reasonable? no excessive algae growth noted as of yet. On the days I don't dose fuel I broadcast feed either reef chili or coral frenzy.

Sounds a little on the excessive side to me. I'm dosing 4ml per day on my 90, but I guess my question to you is how many days per week are you dosing the 4ml?

if you not seeing algae growth or brown corals when they should be colorful, sounds like you have the dosing perfect

Im almost done with the first bottle and must say this thing does improve some corals. Its not all of them, but i noticed my plate and bubble corals are twice as fleshier than before in a matter of a weeks use. I kept all other variables the same as usual, but even being skeptical about some products, this Chlorella stuff seems to be good for some species....will buy a second bottle, maybe the bigger one since the smaller one doesnt last that long for me dosing twice-three times per week.

Ive noticed no difference on PO4, or algae, but i use Rowaphos in a reactor changed every three weeks...

Cool LFS guy sold me this with my anenome

I just bought a bubble tip anenome from my LFS and he said that I should use this product in replace of feeding it.

I have an 8 gallon tank with a few zoas, a torch, and now an anenome. Would you guys suggest feeding the anenome still and using this product? or was he right by saying I can just place this in the tank and not feed?
