MY black sun coral will not open, and is not getting enough meatty foods(mysis, brine, etc.). Some of the edges are turning white, is it diying??? please help what can i do? is there a liquid that i could spot feed to help?

black sun coral is supposed to be more difficult than the others. Take it out, put in container and add meaty foods to that and the polyps should come out and then you may need to hand feed each polyp.

One big thing to keep in mind with Black Tubastrea is that it requires [B][I]Very[I][B] strong water flow compared to many of its close relatives. It also seems to be more sensitive to changes in its environment than other species- which can make feeding it outside the tank a challenge. Try cutting a 2 liter pop bottle in half, and slide the top piece over the coral. You can then squirt a turkey baster's worth of food through the pour spout. That will give the coral a bit of protection from picking fish/shrimp so it was time to feed.

Thanks for the replies i tried the bottle trick still nothing the tips are turning white and starting to crumble i think im losing it. So as a last option im taking back to the lfs
