it's amazing where you can go when you paint...my mind drifts off in a million different directions...sometimes i am not even aware that i am painting...i think of moments in my life that were truly peaceful...and sink into the fabric of that comfortable blanket....tonight i could hear the waves splashing up against the rock..feel the mist on my face...the taste of salt....and dream of happier times...in the past...in the present...in the years to come.

acrylic, mixed medium...i use real sand from Durand Beach mixed in with the paint. i have four "favorite" brushes and my fingertips for getting the look i want. water droplets are actually tiny specks of polyurathene. i get lost in this stuff!
