Photo of the day (one image per post)
Figured it would be cool to have something to just put up one photo (for those that don't want to create a new thread for a picture here and there). Doesn't need to be fish related...just as long as you are the one that took it. :)
I took this while on vacation in the Blue Zone section of Montezuma, Costa Rica. I wish it's didn't have that out of focus branch in front of him...but he was moving around pretty quick. I did end up giving him a banana - but that's for another day. http://users.zoominternet.net/~kirin...a%20Monkey.jpg Please feel free to add you own pictures. Just one picture per post though :) |
Nice. Wish I could have got closer to this one today.

The killer of fish ponds everywhere. He looks mad at the world too...

It was a pretty morning out here today, nice and crisp and clear. The birds decided to join me for morning coffee today, which was exceptionally pleasant and really livened up the start of the day. I really love this time of year.

It did start to warm up a little, huh.
Pictures don't need to be from today. Could be something just to share. :) |
Gives me a reason to shoot something.

New skimmer came in today so I didn't have much time to practice.

Thought this was a pretty cool shot of a stump in the creek. |

That's a really cool picture Nick. I wish I would have seen some whales on my Galapagos trip...none to be found though. :(
|
Thanks. We saw probably 20-30 whales on that 2-hour sail alone, and another 50-60 throughout the rest of the trip. It really is an incredible experience being able to see them up close and personal - especially the calves.

I sat outside in a thunderstorm over Lake Titicaca in Peru last February - of the 500 some pics - this one was my fav. The city I was in sits at over 18,000 feet above sea level.
You can't tell by the picture - but it was pitch black out. I had no idea until later that those 2 alpaca's where even there. http://users.zoominternet.net/~kirin...ca%20storm.jpg |

Ever wonder where all those rejected cans of paint from Home Depot go? Welcome to Yauco, PR. This place was really cool...picture doesn't do it justice.

My daughter and I went out today, she needed to take some landscape photos for her photography class. We ended up stumbling on this old house. I hated how the tree shadow fell on it (not much I could do)...so I decided to emphasize it a tad. http://users.zoominternet.net/~kirin...ic%20House.jpg We got some other cool photos too...need to go through my typical edit process though ;) |

nice shot Jesse! the bird must be pretty strong. it could do that thing straight. :D

:lolspin: Nick - nice shot...it's looking right at you. :) |
The highest sea cliffs in the world (3500-4000'), in Molokai, HI. And let me tell you, going over the edge from the interior in a helicopter to seeing that drop was probably the most exhilarating thing I have ever done. My wife grabbed my arm so hard in fright that I had marks on them the rest of the day. :)

Love that shot, pyithar. Those are my wife's favorite flowers.
|
thank you Nick. :)

My daughter was trespassing yesterday...I know nothing.
While I did the post processing - this is her picture, so no watermark from me. I thought it looked cool...and well...abandoned. http://users.zoominternet.net/~kirin//Abandoned.jpg |
Joey, tell your daughter that's a beautiful shot. Is that inside the one you posted? You can tell the sun is out on the windows and the top and behind the fridge. I imagine you tried to get rid of some of it, but because on the glass, it's glare, it probably can't help much. I keep looking at it and going through the lockers!!! Great stuff!!!

Contest is coming up on a photography site for the 'blue hour'. Went through some pics I took dawntawn...and recalled that I had a few. When through some new edits from the raw files, here's what I'll be submitting (unless you guys think I need to make some other edits).
