anyone used the miracle mud going skimmerless method???
I was just curious if anyone has used this method and maybe what size of system it is and heavy is your bio-load? Anybody have any thoughts on this? Looks like a pretty good deal except the muds has a good price tag on it but still is cheaper than a skimmer!!

I always thought the miracle mud was kind of a joke. I think chaeto will export your trates much better which is what most people are looking for. I don't think you can replace skimming with mudd. That would be like replacing waves in the ocean with mudd. We all know there's no miracles in this hobby.

I think the conclusion on miracle mud is that it is regular old dirt. There are some people who go skimmerless though with good results. There was a thread about it skimmerless tanks I came across not so long ago in the advanced forum. I really like the idea as well. I think Eric Borneman has done a lot with skimmerless tanks, and has had great success.
