Your welcome!
Sorry if I seemed a little rude its not my intention . I just don't understand how anybody could dislike the way corals look under leds. Even if it were just a reflection of light what would the harm be to add a few blue leds. Even white leds make corals pop. Like you said, it's a matter of "taste." |

Yes, just a matter of taste, I would prefer to say.
Some people like the very warm look, like 6500Ks. I prefer a mix of "white" bulbs and blue bulbs, but in a way it would look similar to what I see in the ocean, while diving/snorkeling. When it's too blue it isn't natural at all. Specially because the majority of zoas come from very shallow waters. They belong to an environment with a warm spectrum, originally. Grandis.

Dive deeper
Maybe, if you were to dive on a deeper reef you would see some amazing colored corals. I've got some palys that supposedly came from over 60 feet deep waters off Hawaii and they are pretty amazing. I'm sure its pretty blue at over 60 feet deep and very natural.

That would make for an interesting thread. What's everyone's favorite lighting spectrum. I'm a "blue" guy myself although I do run whites with it.
