Thanks guys.

I haven't actually got the CA reactor set up yet. At the minute I only have smallish frags in the tank so I am not using up too much Calcium, 15% weekly water changes with RBS and the Kalk stirrer are keeping on top of it at the minute.

I do have a pink Stylophora colony and an Acropora Tenuis colony that I am picking up tomorrow so might look to get the reactor online this weekend.

Not many people seem to have this RX so its hard to find reviews on it, from what people who have it have told me it seems to be a good reactor, I will let you know my thoughts on it though once I have it running.

Here's a preview of my new Rimless 180G Tank being built.. Waiting for holes to be drilled and overflow box to be constructed... Can't wait. The dimensions are 48 X 36 X 24. It was built with .5 inch glass and braced with .5 inch square glass strips in each corner.. From the front and back, it looks like it was built with 1 inch glass panels... interesting.... I'm not an engineer... I just hope it works out well. I do trust the builder and it looks great in person... The tank has starphire in the front and right sides. If all goes well, I should have the tank by next week. More to come.

Builder: 1000 Island Aquarium in Brooklyn, NY

Thanks Guys, I'll keep everyone updated as the project continues.. I may start a build thread to make it fun and get advice along the way... I thought the bracing was pretty cool from the perspective that the silicone has more surface area (1") using this method than a tank built with 3/4" glass, which is recommended at this size...The 1" look from the front is pretty awesome with black silicone..

I'm looking for a rimless 50-70g to be bought/made in the chicagoland area. Anyone know of a builder around here?

Nice tank. Is that 1/2" glass with no Euro for your 120?

She just arrived today (Huge grin on my face!!!) .. Now I'm waiting for the ATI PM 48 X 10 ( I've gone back and forth while waiting for the tank to be built on lighting) I think I'm going to be happy with the ATI. Better quality pictures soon to follow...

If I made an Acrylic Rimless 36x30x20 how thick would I need to go to ensure no bowing at all?

Thanks

Thanks. Aquascape is still changing. Just kinda dump them in there to do the changeover from the old tank. The Achilles had to go in there very carefully. He just had a bad bout with ich. I thought i was gonna loose him, incredibly, he survived. He is the crown jewel of this tank...

Sorry if this has already been asked, but hows the salt creep on these tanks?

Not much salt creep. Tons of evaporation.

Great question, my tank has only been up a few weeks, and I haven't had any salt creep, but I'd like to see some feed back from other rimless owners who've got a more established tank.
