How do you guys keep your cords so nice 'n' neat? My 50g can go rimless but I have the hood on it to make it look more organized. I imagine the majority of you have painted your back glass too... It's going to have a HOB refugium one of these days, in addition to 3 powerheads for future SPS. My MH cord is also running alongside the tank. My dad wouldn't appreciate more holes in the walls to run it through the wall or something weird like that.

Those pictures are beautiful though

I had it custom made by by Leemar through an LFS up here Amazing Aquariums and Reefs. I'm sure if you spoke with your LFS they could probably order the same or similar. If not then you can always try contacting the LFS i used. The good thing is that since they are local, shipping was free.

Bricky,

I don't think you need to join. You are officially dubbed "Grand Ruler of all that is Rimless".....

For anyone that hasn't seen Bricky's build thread, check the Elos forum (that is if you can control your jealousy )

His thread is "the Big E"

No doubt. I wanted to vote Bricky's tank for TOTM even when there wasn't a drop of water in it.

after finding out reinforcing the mooi unit i wanted to use as a stand would not work...it's in the works and will have to be built to spec...once the ball gets rolling on that, the tank will be ordered.

the "stand" will look simmilar to this....

I love this stand! Any pics of the tank on it?

Edward, this is a great thread! Can't believe I didn't find it until now.

What does everyone think about Glasscages Rimless tanks? I am looking at the 48x24x16 or 48x18x16 starfire rimless tanks. Also i plan of DIYing a horizontal overflow on the back if the tank, what is the recomended gap between the water level and top edge of the glass?

I was just about to ask that question because when looking at some of the photos i see some pretty large gaps and some pretty small ones between the top of the tank and the water level. Mine is near the upper end of that range with only about a 1/2-3/4" gap.
