bangkokmatt-So whens the gem tang coming to your tank!!!
Jd0gg2432- Here in florida we get tested pretty often with power outages. Done many a test to see. It also helps that my sump below is 230 gallons. Erics3000- thanks the width of the tank helps. The orange shoulder is my baby. The whole reason for this tank!!! Pauliewalnuts- Yeah I started with a 90 and that didnt last very long with my love of tangs. Then 220 was enough to hold them. So this went up. Maybe something bigger down the road. Once you go tang you never go back!

lol - A gem is still way too expensive to watch my purple rip it to shreds.

You know whats funny they most passive fish in my tank is my purple and hes a big boy. One of the biggest purples I have every seen. In my 3 yrs + of having him I dont think I have ever even seen him chase a fish. I guess it helps with the big boys in the tank.

my purple isn't that aggressive either. My red sea sailfin would be the first to rip anyone a new one.. and they are supposed to be peaceful.... lol...
BangkokMatt-So when are you going to send us 2 koi tangs? Do you take paypal? lol...

HA funny I had a sailfin for about 3 years and when I moved him to my new tank he was in Heaven. He would pick on anything that was in the tank. I bought some cleaner shrimp put them in the tank and he ate them both. He would fly from one side of the tank to the other he loved the 8 feet compared to the 4 I had.It kinda sucked he jumped out of my tank and my dog got him...Reminds me I need to finish the screen covers.
Damm that is a sweet Orange SHoulder..great colors really bright...

Yeah it hurt, I had him for a while. He was about 5 in and pretty fat. It was the 2nd fish I had to tell my dog to release from his mouth. He really loved the extra space and took off. I think next time I will go with at least 30 high so they can swim over rocks. I origanlly only wanted to go with 30 but went with the 25 because I was only going to use 250 mh and wound up using 400 anyway huhh. I shouldn’t have dropped the shrimp in during the day time, he figured anything that came from the top was his to eat.
hhhahahh I have been wantin to add some more tangs soon. Just trying to get my parameters in spec and hook up my skimmer. How do yours get along??

Vlamingi shot. This guy is growing like he is on steriods. His streamers are really starting to come along now!
I redid the the right side of my tank to have bigger caves and came out pretty good. Here is three seperate shots. I also made some sweet nozzles for my closed loop that really worked out great. I will try to post those soon. Hope everyone enjoys the pics!

Hey i am here and you didn't get the pics up in time WTH!!!
So do you actually use your little nozzle on your skimmer collection cup? The rock structure is looking good but i think everyone wants more pictures of that nasty skimmer sludge. lol

I think he's talking about the drain at the bottom. The one you use to empty the container.
