Micki - Yes, that would be the same Johnny listed in the ad.

Mcurl98 - I was told that by the main representative for Boyd Enterprises. I even sent an email to Marine Depot to let them know so they could check their inventory and return any Chemi Clean that is yellow. White works, yellow won't. All three stores you've been to need to return the product to the mfg.

hey marc, did the harlequin shrimp do a good job at getting rid of the little stars in your tank?

Marc - I didn't have any sand in the tank, so I don't think that was an issue. My SCWD broke as well some I'm just going to use some powerheads until I get around to fixing everything. Thanks for the insight though.

kslick - the only ones I see are in the propagation section and sump. I can't see any in the main display. So yes, they did the job perfectly.

rottface4 - I hope you can get it fixed. You probably already know this, but the maximum flow going into the SCWD is 1400gph. Just an FYI.

Another 48 hours later, here's the skimmate. The new impellar must be broken in by now. This is 1000ml of skimmate in two days:

A request was made for the Cowrie.

And now for some random shots I took.

You better not put that skimmate so close to the coffee pot!

So have you ID'd that as a pavona or rugosa?

Rich - The skimmate seems about right for my tank. If I run it dryer, the neck will gunk up more heavily, and I'd prefer to get the most out of each day's skimming.

Jonathan - The green coral is a Pavona.

hmmm...I have one the same color but it is so hairy as to look more like a rugosa...that's why I asked. Maybe mine is actually a pavona then.

I bought a new coral today. Since my camera was at home, I thought I'd try to take the picture with my Razor phone.

It is actually a bubble coral, but only about 2" across. Doesn't it look more like a Ricordia? When I saw it, I thought the colors and the tiny bubbles were rather unique, and wondered it it was a cross between a Fox Coral and a Bubble.

It is in the prop section tonight, but I'll move it into the reef tomorrow.

Is that what they refer to as a 'pearl bubble' or just a smaller... other kind?

I've never seen a bubble coral that looked like this one, and I've seen pearl bubbles before. Maybe it was in a wierd mood, and will look differently in my tank.

Marc-

I can't believe you sent that guy links to take his own pics! You are way to nice.

As for the Sedra 5000 mod, I have a Sedra5000 on my ASM G3. Do you think that Mod would work for me?

Did you ever get to measure the size of your electric box. And how you would change it?

The electrical panel is 20.5" wide, 36" tall, and 8" deep.

To do it over would you make it 10" deep so you would have more room for the cords in the back?

In the back there are strips of wood and open spaces. Are the strips 1x4?

I'd probably make it 12" deep. I put a couple of strips of wood across the back, which were made from some 3/4" plywood. They are probably 3" tall, and are there so I could screw via these into the studs in the wall.
