Butterfly tank
Taking a flyer here, but are there any polyps, coral...etc that are safe with butterflies? Setting a tank up soon and would love a polyp or two that wouldnt get mowed down.

Finding some corals that your butterflies don't eat will not be easy to find. I am pretty sure they are all reef unsupported, if you want to take the risk, get cheap and easy to maintain coral frags and try that. I don't maintain reef tanks, but I love angels and butterflies, if I were you I would set up a butterfly tank and a reef tank separately.

You can have several butterflyfish in an sps tank. You may not get the same polp extension but I have several large angels and a copperband and a declivis butterflyfish without issues.
The larger the tank the less the issues |
