RODI Alternatives 10,000 gal

I’m setting up a massive outside reef 10,000 gal system. I expect to evaporate 20-50 gal daily. In order to allow for water changes and take less than a week to fill up, I need a massive RODI - larger than hobby sizes.

I can’t afford the pro models. My solution is to use the larger systems used for pro car washing instead. Has anyone used these?

Have you checked out industrial or medical surplus websites? I found a 1GPM unit about 10 years ago locally for <$100.

no luck finding a local second hard industrial or medical RO

Here's what I'm tending towards https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004LNUNKE

I don't see why that one wouldn't work. Can output be increased with a booster pump? I didn't see one on the unit.

No idea on prices but plenty of mfg. on a search.
This guy makes one for what you need, so----,
only a phone call or email away.

thanks Vinny. These are the prices I was seeing and that's why I started looking at car wash RO

combining the RO:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004LNUNKE
with this DI:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072FJTX8X
That's $1100 but looks to be the best value for this size problem

The problem becomes the DI cartridge refills -
https://www.amazon.com/CR-Spotless-R.../dp/B07BRPGKBT

I'll have to regenerate to save $ or refill from a cheaper source.

OK - so $1100+ $160 every week = $8320 just in refills.
@ those #'s I would still look into the link I sent for a quote.
Stay well

I checked out the link and they're great but more expensive per gallon since both are just RO units. $670 for 1000GPD RO only vs. $2750 for 2000GPD RO only.

The $160 would apply to any system DI (if I use those cartridges). I will have to regenerate to avoid that cost. No refill cost.
