Creeping coral problem
I have a good looking plate coral that seems to like to grow and propagate and cover my rock. I figured it’s like the coralline so I’ll let it go, but it’s covering most of my rock now.
Can I just glue new coral plugs right on top of it? See pic

I’ve heard of people doing this but you may end up with coral warfare as the plug gets encrusted. I know most would advise to frag it if possible

I can’t. It’s one big center piece rock and it’s literally growing and attaching to the rock.

I had to do just that on my tank also.
Now I have a blue sponge that needs serious attention.
