Does Chaeto stay green after it dies?
I turned off the light in the sump of the fish only tank a few months ago because well the chaeto weren't growing. Yesterday I went to pull out the chaeto and it still seems green. is it still alive or is it stays green after it dies?

Sounds like it's still alive to me. In my experience it's hard to kill. It loses color as it dies.

Sometimes iron gets consumed quickly by macros. You could try an iron supplement.
