GSM,

I mentioned above that I am constructing a tank with very similar dimensions, and same size acrylic... I was wondering if there was much deflection on your tank... If you were to do it again would you add a euro brace?

As far as your flow goes, are you happy with it? You may have mentioned it earlier in the thread, but what are you using for flow.. I am thinking of upgrading from my koralia's to something that is controllable.

I have been away allot this summer, my tank has been thru some rough spots but i will be making lots of changes in the upcoming months.

I have been spending my time in upstate NY at my moms house this summer, 2 weekends ago was the annual thousand Islands Poker run and my house is on the route so we all watch, except this time i was on my jetski to get up close and personal and it was really awesome. my buddy Paul was there with his D200 and got some better pictures i will get him to sent them to me, these came off of my cousins wifes camera and she is new to it.
also Paul got all the really fast boats that my cousin missed.

the guy who has the fastest boat did 160mph past my place it was nuts.

Mom has a 1969 27 foot magnum but it would just get eaten alive by these big guys. The lead boat has twin 4,000 hp jet engines, the boat is made by Outer Limits they also built the "Miss Geico" that is preparing to break the world speed record.

i ordered this CNC 125R recirculating skimmer yesterday it should be here next week, its an external sicce with cooling loop.

i also ordered a quiet one 1200 pump to feed the skimmer, and 4 of the tiny 84GPH Tunze pumps for my ATO and my 20g nano

here is the skimmer i am getting.

That skimmer will be sweet. CNC looks like it makes some really nice skimmers. I thought you were going to test the atb hang on/multi?

I dont think they are getting test units, i really had not planned on getting the skimmer but since CNC decided to stop building sicce skimmers, i got a good deal on this one of a kind recirc sicce.

I can't get over how much coralline algae growth you have on your acrylic for such a new tank. Something good must be going on in there!

p.s. clean off that coralline!

Mike that is a weeks worth of coraline growth.....

i cleaned the whole tank before the shots but i get tired and the coraline is hard to get off the acrylic so all i get is the lil bit of film algae.

Are you serious?

I don't know how often you run a magnet, but you might want to consider cleaning the glass every day with a magnet. By allowing the coralline to grow, you are forced to scrape it off, and this increases your chances of scratching the acrylic. If you keep the glass clean daily you might be able to prevent coralline growth and avoid the need to scrape the acrylic.

should only be down a couple days at most though.
