Cornish planted aquarium
Hi all,
I've just started a blog about my native British tank, a Red Sea Max 130D (room temperature, no chiller). I am experimenting with locally collected seaweeds. Have a look if you are interested: http://anbollenessor.wordpress.com/ (an bollenessor is cornish for 'the rock pool hunter') cheers, Michiel |

That is GORGEOUS. What temp are you keeping the tank at?

Hi guys,
thanks! Of course the trick is not to put a bunch of nice seaweeds in a tank but to keep em looking nice for some time and that I am a long way from that! I have just posted about some of the problems I've been having. Even if not always successful, it is a nice hobby just to try figuring things out. The tank is at room temperature, so often 20+ C. A chiller is expensive and I am not sure if housing it in the stand (with holes drilled in the back) will take care of the noise and will provide sufficient ventilation... cheers, Michiel |

You can always use a refrigerator with coiled pipe from the tank running through it.

That is an incredible tank! Love the macros in it, thanks for showing it here.
