Chris,

Looking good!

Your section for your return pump looks kind of small. Is evaporation going to be an issue? I am guessing you will have a autotop off so probuably not.

Cheers,
Chris

Chris,

I figured you had it all planned out and it was not too small, but I could not tell from the photo. I like how the tank is unique.

Cheers,
Chris

Chris,

I think you will be happy with the light and the reflector. I have the same combo. I love mine. Stand looks great. I am interested in seeing it stained again and ultimately up and running. Keep up the good work!

Did you figure out how much you are going to have to do to the Tunze rocks?

i just need to get a few small flat rocks to make the front tunze rock look right, the one in the back of the tank will just go up against the wall.i really hope i do like the new lighting since the bulbs cost so much.the stand will look more of less like my 150 stand was,i also got my doors ordered today as well.

Chris, you will like the bulbs. I was going to use th Aquaconnects on the outside and a Ushio 10k in the center due to their cost. Once I had them side-by-side, there was no way I wasn't going to go with 3 of them. The wife even said "you are getting another one to go in the middle right?" I got another bulb the next day.

thank you,i do love the bulb already.

back to the build ................
i got my doors in last week and today got the door holes routered out and the inside of the stand covered in KILZ.i put down the starboard floor and am almost ready to stain and clear the outside.basicly the stand is built with exception to the top cap board that will wrap the bottom of the tank.

Yeah I cranked up my de-nitrator last week and tested this weekend. Makin progress. My trates are 4 (with x4 with Lamotte). I need to test the phosphates. My corals already look better to me. A LOT more PE. Better colors in most of my corals as well. I'm gettin there.

Thanks for asking

nice to hear things are looking up for your tank.i thought i had a nitrate problem and couldnt figure out why.i was dosing 5ml/day of vodka but showing over 40 ppm nitrates on a lamotte kit.well i had Paul test it with his kit and John with his as well and i am at as of yesterday under 1 ppm NO3 and .03 PO4(hanna)with no GFO at all.now my problem is my corals are being starved i think,so i got some AA and DTs oyster eggs.hopefully this will help.
