Live Sand Web Like Appearance?

I literally just put package one into my tank (an hour or so ago). THe tank has cleared enoguh to allow me to see he sand in some areas. The sand appears to have what looks like webs through out it. Is this normal? Can some one explain to me what this is, or if there is something I should do to take care of it. I am new to the reefing business so any imput would be appreciated.
