Clown jumped out of the bag during acclimation

Oh man... so I just brought home my first new residents and once I opened the bag and added a cup of water one of my clowns jumped out of the bag and into the tank! Im really worried, I dont wanna stress him any more so I am leaving him alone, but do you think he will be ok? I only had gotten 1 cup of water into his bag before he jumped.

most clowns are pretty tough, inverts need longer acclimation times

He should be ok, just make sure the lights are off and let him be. But check on him once in a while, clowns in my opinion are very hardy.

Yea he seems extremely stressed right now, he is in the far back corner of the tank and still trying to swim away. Ive got all the lights in the tank off for the remainder of the day.

oh man, that's kinda funny, but at the same time not funny.

Like everyone mentioned already, just watch him closely. The relocation alone could cause him to act stressed out and in the back corneres hiding, so I would just watch and hope for the best. Not really much else you can do, taking him out now would only stress him that much more.

He should be OK, probably will take a little bit to get over the shock but they are hardy and he should pull through for you.

Wow. Now he jumped the false wall and into the return chamber where the pump is. Should I try to get him into the main tank or just leave him for now?

You should probablt get him out of the return and back in to the main tank. And maybe get some egg crate to keep him from carpet surfing next.

I'd just leave him. The more you mess with him the more you'll stress him out.

He was jumping before I even opened the bag, my water is fine. Its an Ocellaris Clown. And he has calmed down now, still in the back of the tank but hes not jumping around like a crazy person anymore.
