" It's going back to get replaced.....fingers crossed. "

Best of luck! Hopefully you don't have to go through what I've been through and you get an acceptable tank...

It gets to be a real headache after a while. Trust me.

Be sure to post your outcome.

Its a cluster of micro-bubbles in the silicone joint where the glass panes are mated. Its on both top corners where the front pane meets the side panes, spanning down from the top lip about 1-1/2" in length and in some places almost as thick as the 3/8" pane itself.

I came across this thread because I am obviously concerned; ESPECIALLY given the tank is rim-less/frame-less. (My first) Anything to be worried about?.. The "wet" inside seam looks alright and nothing is leaking as of today. lol! Its pretty unsightly when the LED's are ramped up and now I know its there I cant stop noticing it.

It is set level on there Ventura stand and I agree it could be a tad taller.

Email was sent to MarineLand as well. If I do not hear back from them by Tuesday I will give them a call and inquire about both the 60 and 93.

(sorry for the sideways pics)
I've had my 93 Cube since February. I just noticed in the last few weeks that I have micro bubbles that look almost exactly the same as yours. It just started, so I'm a little worried.

I have the glass canopy for this tank (I'm using it for freshwater fish and not a reef) and the clips that support the canopy are aweful. It comes with 6 clips to hold the weight of the large glass canopy and they just can't take the weight of it. They bend and eventually break from it. I've called Marineland twice and received extra clips, but even with 12 on each side, some end up bending.

So with these being rimless, are they doomed to fail eventually? I really don't want to have to deal with taking this tank down and setting up a new one if I call Marineland.

That is one of the main reasons I decided to just keep my 60...

I've read so many contradicting threads.

Marineland tells some micro-bubbles are normal and others they are not and the tank needs to be replaced. (which is what they told me)

Every tank I came across had/has this exact issue, however I could find nothing online in regards to blow outs or leaks due to this.

I will say while on the phone with Marineland they did say they are having seam failures on the 93's and not to chance it with my 60; however I cant seem to find instances like that online.

Now, cracked bottoms are another story...

I have bought two tanks since my 93 had bubbles a 90 and a 125. To me Marine land quality is horrible. I could get their tanks cheaper but every time I look at the quality even compared to Aqueon it is so bad. Seams are done horrible, glue everywhere, glass is not even straight on some. I could save 30 bucks buying them too on those size tanks, but I just do not trust them..

My 93 didn't just have bubbles the glass was not even straight..

I have called around and a LFS that has decent pricing has a couple of 93s in stock. I am going to check them out to see how the silicon looks and if the edges are square.

I love the look of cube tanks and I could do a 60 or 93. A Deep Blue 60 is an option and available from another LFS for $90 more than the Marineland 60 which is worth if it the build quality is better.

You cannot see the bubbles in the glue till it is filled with water.
Make them fill it up there before taking it home.

SEE I asked them to test it first but they would not and once drilled the warranty is void. I ended up throwing a tank and stand in the garbage.

That is a good idea. Should take a few minutes to fill and drain and I could verify if there are bubbles.

What I am looking for is a 60-100 gallon tank that isn't wider than 36". I am replacing a 35g hex aquarium and I want it to fit in the same spot. I love the look of the cubes so I have that in my head. There is the 30"w 56 gallon and it is cheap ($120 new).

They have never respond to any thread.

Check out the thread titled "Is this tank seperating?" That looks bad.

Oh dear, and here I am about to purchase a marine land 180 gallon, pre drilled duel overflow. Will have to check the tank out really well before I pay it off. Maybe even call Marine land and find out the skinny.

To Res an old thread.
I was thinking about picking up one of these used, I can't even see the issue with swiftvision's tank?

What was the outcome of all this?

I sold mine about a year ago, at the time I still have the same microbubbles. They never got bigger or multiplied. Only reason I sold it was to get a different sized tank.

I had more problems with the clips that hold the glass canopy. Even with more than 10 on each side of the canopy. All those clips would fail eventually, but YMMV.
